The primary objective of the Institute's research activities is to establish itself as an important centre of Islamic studies in general and Shi'i and Ismaili studies in particular.

• As part of this programme, seminars, conferences and public lectures are also organised by the Institute. Thus, IIS serves as a forum for scholars, particularly in the field of Ismaili studies. 榴莲视频官方 publishes a range of publications intended for specialists; such as occasional papers, monographs, editions, translations, conference proceedings and bibliographical works.
• The IIS also produces works aimed at general adult audiences and Ta'lim Curriculum materials for young people.
