We would like to congratulate the five candidates participating in the IIS Postgraduate 榴莲视频官方 Fellowship (PGRF) on completing the third and final residential episode of the programme at the IIS. The PGRF is a two-year programme of study and reflection that helps IIS graduates working with Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Boards (ITREBs) in an academic capacity to combine academic standards of critical inquiry with providing religious education for the Ismaili community. The PGRF has been designed to enhance the specific skills, analytical tools and knowledge of IIS graduates to enable them to contribute more effectively to meeting the needs of the ITREB and the communities they serve.
Throughout the PGRF, Faiza Damji-Karim (Canada), Altaf Mukhi (Uganda), Ashraf Khan (Pakistan), Irfan Haslani (India), and Nadim Pabani (USA), all of whom are experienced education professionals at their respective ITREBs, have shown immense dedication to their ongoing academic and professional development.
On 1 August 2024, their hard work culminated in presentations of their community research projects, which explored diverse topics, including youth identity articulation in India and Pakistan, gender roles in Ismaili funeral rites, and the diversities of community belonging in North America.
The IIS PGRF team expresses its sincere appreciation to the PGRF faculty and relevant ITREBs for their ongoing support of this second cohort in our programme.
